The Orkney Hotel, Kirkwall

The hotel was quirky and had a unique layout, with rooms that felt a bit small and had a dampness smell. However, the staff were helpful and accommodating. The location was very central and convenient for exploring the city, and the dining options were decent. The overall experience was mixed due to the room condition but redeemed by good service and location.

The Ayre Hotel in Kirkwall is an old, traditional hotel with beautiful rooms. The layout may feel a bit quirky, resembling a corridor converted into a room. It would have been nice if the breakfast started a bit earlier instead of a breakfast package.
